There will be a Perseid Meteor Shower observation happening tonight at

Lim Choon Kiat Observatory in Balik Pulau, Penang.

 

Perseid Meteor Shower is one of the best annual meteor shower. On a good night, you may see up to 100 meteors per hour. However, for this year event, we do not expect to achieve this number.  This is due to the presence of the Moon in the sky. The light from the Moon will interfere with the visibility of the meteor except the brightest ones. 

However, we will still be on the look out. 

If you are free, you are welcome to join.

Admission is free. Bring warm clothing and mosquito repellent.
